Introducing Jasper Red — a striking polished quartzite quarried in India. Its deep oxblood-red background is layered with rich burgundy and rust tones, crossed by fine, crisp white veins that run across the surface like brushstrokes. The polished finish gives the stone a glossy, glass-like depth that makes the reds glow and the veining stand out with dramatic contrast.
As a natural quartzite, Jasper Red is exceptionally hard and dense — highly resistant to scratching, heat and everyday wear — making it a bold, dependable choice for kitchen countertops, islands, bathroom vanities, feature walls, bar tops and fireplace surrounds in both residential and commercial projects. Each slab is unique, so we recommend viewing your slabs in person at our Texas warehouse.

Jasper Red Quartzite is a deep red Indian quartzite cut through with crisp white veining, and it is a stone that wants a job rather than a whole kitchen. On an island, a bar top, a fireplace surround or a powder-room vanity it does exactly what a statement stone should do. Across every horizontal surface in a house it becomes exhausting.
The contrast is what makes it: near-black reds against clean white lines, with very little middle tone. That reads beautifully against pale cabinetry and against brass, and it fights anything patterned.
Directional veining decides the layout. Look at the slab the way the fabricator will cut it: where the white lines land on the finished top matters far more than how the slab looks standing in the rack. If the piece is going on an island with a waterfall edge, the veins should carry down the leg rather than stopping at the mitre, and that is a decision made at the yard.
Quartzite is harder and more scratch-resistant than marble, and Jasper Red Quartzite is dense, but porosity varies block to block so expect to seal it. Dark, high-contrast stone shows water spots and fingerprints on a polished finish; a leathered finish hides both and is worth considering on a bar top that gets used daily. Our natural stone care guide covers the water test that tells you when sealing is due.
No two slabs from the same block match exactly, and with a stone this dramatic the difference is obvious. Every block we buy is inspected before it ships and graded against the technical standards published by the Natural Stone Institute.
