About Chantilly Lace Quartzite

Introducing Chantilly Lace — a refined polished quartzite quarried in Brazil. Its soft, creamy-white background is traced with delicate, flowing linear veins in pale gray and warm taupe, like threads of lace drawn across the surface. The polished finish brings out a bright, glossy depth that reflects light and makes the veining crisp and luminous.

As a natural quartzite, Chantilly Lace is exceptionally hard and dense — highly resistant to scratching, heat and everyday wear — making it a dependable choice for kitchen countertops, islands, bathroom vanities, feature walls and fireplace surrounds in both residential and commercial projects. Each slab is unique, so we recommend viewing your slabs in person at our Texas warehouse.

Where Chantilly Lace Quartzite works best

Chantilly Lace Quartzite is a creamy-white Brazilian quartzite with soft gray linear veining, and it earns its place where a client wants the calm of marble without marble’s maintenance. The veining runs directional rather than scattered, which makes it a natural choice for a waterfall island: cut with the grain, the pattern carries down the leg instead of stopping at the mitre.

It also does well as a full-height backsplash, where the linear movement reads as texture at a distance and detail up close. In a bathroom it suits a single-slab vanity better than a busy stone, because the pattern does not fight a mirror or tapware.

Living with Chantilly Lace Quartzite

Quartzite is harder than marble and considerably more scratch-resistant, but it is still a natural stone with porosity that varies block to block. Expect to seal it, use a pH-neutral cleaner rather than a general kitchen spray, and put a board down for cutting. Our natural stone care guide covers the water test that tells you when sealing is actually due.

Buying a natural slab, not a color name

Two slabs cut from the same Chantilly Lace Quartzite block will not match exactly, and the further into the block you go the more the veining shifts. That is the nature of the material rather than a defect, and it is why we photograph and tag every piece. If a job needs two slabs to run as a pair, say so early and we will pull sequential pieces from one bundle.

Every block we buy is inspected before it ships and graded against the technical standards published by the Natural Stone Institute. Check Live Inventory for what is on the ground today, or see the wider Natural Stone range. Shops and builders buying regularly should start with the Trade Program.
